The IPO has promulgated " The Guideline for Copyright Authorization Document Inspection for Export of Audio-visual Works and OEM Audio CDs. " This Authority is trasferred from GIO due to the enforcement of Administrative Proceding Law on 1 January 2001. For the reason of preventing copyright infringement in other countries by products exported from ROC, exporters of Audio-visual Works and OEM Audio CDs are required to submit copyright authorization document to the IPO or its border inspection centers at Keelung, CKS international airport, Taichung, or Kaoshiung to get verification of copyright document.

" The Arrangement for the Protection of Industrial Property Rights between the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in New Zealand and the New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office " has come into effect from December 19, 2000, and " The Arrangement between the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office, New Zealand and the New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office on the Reciprocal Protection and Enforcement of Copyright " has taken effect from December 22, 2000.

According to Chinese Taipei Patent Law Article 24 (invention), Article 105 which applies the provision of Article 24 (utility model) and Chinese Taipei Trademark Law Article 4, an applicant who first files an application, on or after June 15, 2000, for an invention patent, utility model patent and trademark registration with Austrian Patent Office, shall enjoy the right to claim priority in Chinese Taipei.
